Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the Stagetake iPhone app. By using it you accept them.
Last updated: TODO: date at launch
Who provides Stagetake
Stagetake is made by TODO: legal name or company, and address.
What Stagetake is
Stagetake is a practice tool. It gives you metrics and suggestions about how you speak. It isn’t a medical or health service, and it doesn’t promise any result, in an interview or anywhere else.
Accuracy
Metrics come from on-device speech recognition and audio level, and both can be wrong. A score only compares with your own earlier sessions in the same language.
Your content
You own what you record and write. Stagetake stores it on your device. See the privacy policy.
Purchases and subscriptions
- Without paying, you can score 3 sessions in any 7 days.
- Paid options are a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription with a 7-day trial, and a lifetime purchase.
- Apple bills subscriptions to your Apple Account. They renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
- Apple handles refunds.
Acceptable use
Don’t reverse engineer the app, and don’t use it to record people without the consent the law requires where you are.
Apple
You get Stagetake through the App Store, so Apple’s TODO: confirm whether to use Apple’s standard EULA or a custom one also applies. Apple has no duty to support the app and isn’t responsible for claims about it.
Warranty and liability
Stagetake comes as is, without warranties, to the extent the law allows. TODO: liability cap and consumer-law carve-outs for the EU and Brazil, reviewed by a lawyer.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we’ll note it here before it takes effect.
